Address Mastro
Coming soon
Verifies the province, district and neighbourhood on orders shipping to Turkey — before the label is printed.
Free to install; only AI and notification operations are metered.
In Turkey, a wrong delivery address is the leading cause of failed shipments. Shopify’s checkout does not know the relationship between a province and its districts; it takes both as free text. When a customer types “İstanbul / Çankaya” the order looks fine, and the mistake only surfaces when the shipping label is printed.
Address Mastro checks every order’s address the moment the order comes in. It matches the province, district and neighbourhood against the official list in its own database, tolerating abbreviations, missing diacritics and typos. A matching order is tagged and carries on through your workflow.
An address that does not match goes through a four-layer chain: the customer picks the correct district themselves on the thank-you page; failing that the address is resolved with AI; failing that a verification link goes out by email and SMS. The merchant does nothing at any of these steps.
What it does
Province, district and neighbourhood matching
Matches against the official list of administrative units. Tolerates abbreviations, missing diacritics and typos, and finds a district that was typed into the street address field.
The customer fixes it themselves
When an address does not match, a picker appears on the thank-you page and in the customer account. The customer selects the right district and the order updates immediately.
Resolved with AI
If the customer closed the page, the address is resolved with Gemini. A result below the confidence threshold is not accepted — it moves to the next layer.
Email and SMS confirmation
For the hardest cases a verification link goes to the customer through your own store domain. They fill in the form and the address is updated.
Order tags and Flow
Every order is tagged with its outcome. Use those tags in Shopify Flow to build your own automation — holding unverified orders back from fulfilment, for instance.
Bulk actions in the admin
Re-run validation on selected orders straight from the order list, and see everything awaiting review on one screen.
What it costs
| Plan or charge | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Province / district / neighbourhood matching | Free | Database matching. The large majority of orders are resolved in this layer and cost nothing. |
| Customer confirmation | Free | The customer correcting their own address through the checkout and customer account extensions. |
| AI resolution | Metered | Runs only for addresses that remain ambiguous. Each call counts as one operation. |
| Email verification | Metered | Each verification email sent to a customer counts as one operation. |
| SMS verification | Metered | Each verification SMS is metered. It costs more than email, so it is the last resort. |
Billed by Shopify on your regular store invoice.
Questions
No. Validation runs in the background after the order is created, not during checkout. The customer waits for nothing in the payment flow.
The order is tagged as unverified and listed on the app’s review screen. You can fix it by hand there, or build a Shopify Flow that reacts to that tag.
All of them, including Basic. The checkout UI extension does not require Plus; it runs as a thank-you page block.
Yes. Database matching and customer self-correction incur no per-operation charge. Only operations with a real external cost — an AI call, an email, an SMS — are metered.
The fields needed for address validation are processed and held in the app’s database. Shopify’s customer data erasure and export requests are honoured. The details are in our privacy policy.
