Privacy Policy

This policy sets out the rules common to every app Meze Apps publishes. What each app collects differs; what it takes, who it shares it with and how long it keeps it are written in that app’s own policy.

What we receive on install

When you install an app we receive your store domain, your contact email and the Shopify scopes the app asks for. They are what the app needs to run and what lets us reach you when something needs saying.

What we never receive

Payment details and card data never reach our servers. They stay in Shopify, and our apps do not request a scope that would expose them.

We do not sell it

No data is sold, rented or shared with third parties for advertising. It is shared only so that the app can do its job, and only with the service providers that job requires. Each app’s own policy names them.

Google user data

Our apps that sign you in with Google or connect your Google account appear as Meze Apps on Google’s consent screen. Today the only one that does is Cloud Image Uploader. It scans the folder you choose in your connected Google Drive with read-only access and uploads the matching images to your own Shopify store. It uses your account’s name and email address only to show which account is connected. It never changes or deletes anything in your Drive. What is stored, how, and when it is deleted is written in the app’s own policy.

Google data is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and is not read by people. Our apps’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you uninstall

Shopify sends a shop redaction request within 48 hours and the records belonging to your store are deleted.

Customer data requests

All three of Shopify’s privacy requests (customer data request, customer redaction and shop redaction) are honoured in every app we publish.
